Quattro 4 in 1 ride on
The Quattro sit on and ride toy is, as its name would suggest four toys rolled into one. This immediately appealed to my both my penny-conscious mind and to my apartment living lifestyle (less toys, less space required to house them).
Four toys in one = Great value!
The Quattro truly grows with the baby. The car frame has side arm bars for security and a plastic rocker base that prevents forward propulsion.
As Olivia gets older, the next setting sees the rocker and side bars to come off, footplates are attached either side and a long handle apparatus is easily fitted to the back. This will allowing me to push her along whilst she sits on, lifts her feet up and takes it easy; “Sit n’ Ride”. We can then remove the long handle and Olivia can use the handle on the back of the car and practice her walking skills by walking behind, steadying herself using the handle and pushing her Quattro; “Push n’ Go”. The final setting sees the footplates come off so that Olivia can sit on and push herself along independently; “Sit n’ Ride”. The plastic seat of the car lifts up allowing Olivia to stow away her goodies when she travels and she has enjoyed seeing her favourite toys hidden away and then found in here.
Great fun and grows with any baby!
Olivia loves the bright colours and I love how easy it is to use!
My first impression of the Quattro was “wowsers, it is bright!” The main colours are orange and blue and naturally Olivia loved this. It is very light to move about and easy to put away for storage. It was very straightforward to put together and I barely needed to consult the manual. It did look comprehensive and simple to follow though.
Safety first
There is a three point harness to hold baby onto her seat. The shoulder straps are held in place by long pieces of Velcro that loop through the centre disc and fold back on themselves to secure. I would probably prefer click in straps to Velcro as one strap came undone as I had only aligned some of the strap rather than all of it. However generally, I did find them to be secure as long as the straps are done up along their entire length of Velcro.
Great fun car noises, switches and buttons
Olivia smiles when I get the Quattro out!Quattro comes with a removable activity panel that sits in the steering wheel and Olivia loved hitting and pulling at and turning the buttons and handles to hear their noises. There is a horn, throttle, key turn simulator, giggling noise, music noise and spring sound. It really added to Olivia’s enjoyment and likely will help with her hand-eye co-ordination. I was quite disappointed to find that the electric control panel did not come fitted with batteries but the car is still completely usable without the noise working
Did the Quattro make us smile?
At present, we have only used the Quattro in the first and second settings – Olivia rocking herself and me pushing her gently around inside the house but she certainly derives a great deal of enjoyment from her first car. Indeed, as soon as I get it out, an ear-to-ear smile spreads across her face so I reckon that’s testimony enough!
